Successful Online Dating

"Your Profile Is The Window To Your Soul" - "PART 2"

There is a lot to talk about regarding your online dating profile. It's the single MOST IMPORTANT PART of your dating persona. LET me repeat that. It's the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PART of your dating persona!

Think of your profile as PLOT TO DRAMA A MOVIE. It's up to you to decide how interesting the plot will be, and who it will appeal to from start to finish. Keep in mind everything you write will determine how long it will take for someone, to exclude or including themself, from being interested in potentially dating you.

I'm going to give you the successful steps in the process to bring it all together. This has worked for me and it will work for you too. Keep in mind this is all based on REAL LIFE and time-tested online dating experiences.

These successful online dating steps will help you GET NOTICED QUICKER than others at the dating site of your choice. (Side note: I tried six of them and http://www.datingmatchers.com/, is by far the best). If you take the time to apply the ideas and principles I will give you. The dating results you get will surpass anything you have experienced.

So let's get started

We have already established that you absolutely must use your member tagline to GRAB ATTENTION. Don't use the old dime a dozen boring taglines like: "Looking for a good guy/gal" or "Are you the one for me?" or "Want to Have A Good Time?" etcIf you haven't read the tips for your tagline make sure you read it later too. It's important to grab attention quickly.

You will get involved PRODUCTIVE interest from people, by utilizing the body of the dating profile to its' fullest potential. Have you noticed yet? Most profiles are written quickly, and without a lot of thought, because people in general are in a hurry. Most profiles are written very poorly and the grammar used is questionable at best. This can provide you with a GIANT ADVANTAGE over others. If you take the time to write a quality well written profile, you will get more attention than your competition hands down.

You need to keep your profile short, but interesting. The best length of an online dating member profile is 200-350 words. HERE'S THE REAL SECRET TO THISYou want to use between 150-250 of the words available for yourself, and use 50-100 words as filters for the type of person you are seeking. This strategy will allow you to let readers you are "not" interested in, to weed themselves out of your potential dating pool.

Another important piece to this puzzle is CREATING A DESIRE INSIDE SOMEONE by making small connections with them through your profile. An example, let's say you have a parent of a specific ethnic heritage, and you mention it. The person reading your profile who shares that same ethnicity will have a "small connection "and this will help build desire to share the heritage they have in common with you.

Another example of this, is if you are originally from another part of the country, mention this to bring it to their attention. If that dating member reading your profile is originally from there, or has relatives who are there, they will feel another SMALL CONNECTION to you.

What makes people do something about it?

You must CREATE A STRONG CALL TO ACTION at the closing of your profile. For example, "If you like what you've read, don't just sit there like a bump on a log, you big dummy, send me a message and tell me what's going on with you!"

Even better, is the "filtered" STRONG CALL TO ACTION CLOSING: "So, if you're an athletic, 21-32 year old, non-smoking, lady who is as big of a fitness nut as me, send me a message so we can set up a race to see who has to pay for our dinner the night we meet up. ;) What just happened?" As you can see, this profile closing helps to ensure you get a message from someone in the age range 21-32, a non-smoker, someone who is athletic, health conscious, and someone who doesn't mind being a little competitivePlus, you already have them thinking about where they might want to eat dinner with you.

It's simple to the point, kind of funny, and a little flirty. Again, read through some dating profiles and look for STRONG CLOSINGS and write them down. Then later, make them unique to yourself and come up with something fun and witty.

Other topics you should cover in your profile to bring interest: What you do for a living, and what goals you are trying to achieve short-term and long-term for your career.

More on this tomorrow. Don't want to wait?
